Stuffed Sausage

It's always a good morning when you put on a pair of khakis and two of the three buttons (on the fly) will not button. As you wedge yourself in to them, you think dear Lord, I look like a stuffed sausage. If that doesn't make you realize that the baby is growing, I don't know that does.

We will be heading to the Doctor this Friday for our 16-week check up. Then we're going for a night of drinking on Saturday for my 30th birthday. Okay, so I'm dreaming, but it would be fun.

It's a bird, it's a blob, it's a baby!

While I'm posting everything to get this started. More gushy baby stuff. This is a "picture" of baby Jones on December 8th- I was about 8 weeks.

Not Homeless....

We signed on our house on Friday. We officially are homeowners now. We were at the new house most of the weekend painting and cleaning up. We're going to get most of the painting done before moving in. Part of me doesn't like the deal of Robert not allowing me to do any heavy lifting, any smelling of fumes, pretty much robbing me of the independent, can-do, girl I was. However, I'm getting use to the idea of catching up on magazines and reading my books as he is sweating a storm. A new phrase I've found, "Honey, um, you missed a spot."

Just Getting Fatter

Okay, fine. For those of you have stalked me enough to get a picture of my belly, here you go. To me, it feels like I'm eating nothing but cheeseburgers (which I am) and drinking beers (I wish). I am just getting fat because of the above named factors, not pregnant. At 14 weeks, there isn't much to see. At least looking down, I don't think it's much to see. However, in July in 200 degree weather with 95% humidity, I'll look back fondly on this picture and think, "look how skinny I was!"

What is this?

Even for the tech lover, posting my thoughts and happenings on the Internet still leaves me concerned. However, I've been convinced that it is okay. So, here is where I will attempt to let everyone know what is happening in our lives. I'll eventually get the hang of this thing.
