37 Weeks

Well, we've made it to full term, thank God. At this point, if the baby were to arrive it would be completely fine! I went to my weekly check up and the baby has not turned (shocker) and I have no dilated anymore. So, it looks like we're on schedule for getting the baby out on July 10th. Crazy to think it's only a few weeks away! I am ready as I am growing more and more uncomfortable each day.

We had a great weekend and tried to relax and enjoy each other as much as possible. We went to see Evan Almighty and I actually liked it. It won't win an Academy Award, but it was a refreshing and lighthearted movie to see.

Robert's birthday is this Friday and we're going to hang out and celebrate. How exciting! I know all of our efforts and thoughts seem to have been on the baby lately, so this is going to be a nice break!

Eviction Notice

Well, the eviction noticed has been placed. We scheduled a C- section for Tuesday, July 10th. Obviously, the baby could come earlier, but if not we're going in to get it. It's scary and exciting all at the same time. Really it's hard to believe that we are almost parents. We'll continue to keep everyone posted about the progress.

Sonof a Breech Baby

We went to our 36 week check up this morning. We had an ultrasound and got to see our little baby. We were pleasantly surprised when they told us it was approximately 6 pounds! What a relief! I thought that we would have a small baby, but it seems like it's really doing well. Also, we saw that it has hair already! For those of you who know both Robert and I, know that we both have amazingly thick hair. I always laugh and joke that it's going to come out with an afro. Now, it really is! We were thrilled with the health of the baby. The bad thing is, it's breech. It's head is center under my breasts, bottom straight down and legs on my right side. The Doctor doesn't think it will be turning before its due date, so we have to make a decision for a C section or to have them attempt to manually turn it. We're leaning towards having the C section as we don't think manually trying to rotate the baby will be good for it. We asked when she would try to schedule it and she said at 39 weeks, which is what the second week of July?!! It was quite the reality check. We hope to make the decision soon. We're both a little sad that we're going to have to have the section, but at this point okay with it as long as the baby is safe and healthy. It's the most important thing. So, that is our update and will keep everyone updated as we go along.

One Month Remaining

Well, we're at the one month mark until our due date. It's hard to believe that we're so close. Robert and I have been working hard getting the nursery done and can honestly say, it's done. It's a great feeling and turned out better than I expected. We've got to put the car seats in his weekend and finish packing our hospital bag and we're done. Now, we wait. I'm huge and attaching a picture of me from last night in the nursery. All those times I said I'm huge, I lied...now I'm huge.

Movie Review

How did we get to Monday again? Where did the weekend go? I hope everyone enjoyed it. We did a lot of projects around the house and can honestly say we're on the final stretch for the baby's arrival. Robert and I are ready for the projects be over so we can enjoy our time together. We got some amazing sweet corn this weekend and had Robert's brother and wife and kids over for a cook out. It was very nice.

Movie Review- Last night we went and saw Oceans 13. I enjoyed the first two. This one was okay, not good, not bad. Just kind of flat. I would recomend it to rent, but don't go to the movie's to see it. George Clooney is dreamy as ever and I want to punch Brad Pitt in the face. So there you have it.

What's on my iPod- Bright Eyes I Must Belong Somewhere. I think it has an Irish ting to it, that's why I like it. I always tap my foot to it, wish I had a thick beer as I'm listening. He's not Irish (that I know of), but the tune is one to download. Enjoy.

Baby Sex Unknown

Okay, due to my last post referring to the baby several times as "he", I need to clarify as many of you are inquiring. We don't know the baby's sex. We did not secretly find out and just with holding information. HA! We did look at the first ultrasound (didn't at the last one) and couldn't tell a foot from anything, so we certainly couldn't figure out the sex. For the past few months, I have felt like it was going to be a boy. My genius logic for this is a) we can't come up with boys names to save our lives and b) everyone tells me I'm carrying it low and that means it's going to be a boy. I refer to it as "him" just as men refer to cars as "she". It's just the way it is, I don't know. However, just as I thought it was going to be a boy, last night I had a dream that I gave birth (went through the process in my dream) and had a girl. That is my first dream about the birth or the sex of the baby. So, what does that tell you? If you have a guess, enter at the poll below.

Oh yeah, due to practical stalking on some people's part, I've half assed and reluctantly registered at Babies R Us. So there, stop pestering me. HA!

Full Moon?

I swear there has to be a full moon or something strange going on this week. It's only Tuesday and I feel as though these last two or three days have been more difficult than necessary. My laptop at work completely died yesterday and they just got it fixed at 5pm today. Yes, I work for a technology company that makes software. Apparently, their hardware skills lack. Therefore, I have two days of work haunting me. It's just been things like that over and over again. Did someone curse me? HA! Seriously, I'm beginning to think so.

On a lighter note, Robert and I went to see Knocked Up on Friday night. We loved it. Though a little vulgar in parts, it was good to see and we laughed. I couldn't help but wonder if we weren't pregnant and so much of it rang true, would it really have been that funny? Apparently so, a lot of co-workers without kids saw it and loved it too. A good thing to go and see.

I went to my 34 week check-up today. Everything is going well and even 1cm dilated. How scary, but exciting at the same time. We're doing well and moving forward. We will go in a few weeks to get an ultrasound to see the position of the baby. He's still laying sideways and we're hoping he'll turn head down in a few weeks.

Have a good week and keep your curses to yourself.
