Brilliant!

Radiohead never disappoints. I just downloaded their new album In Rainbows. LOVE IT. You can only download it from their website (not iTunes), but the coolest thing is that you can choose how much you pay for it. NICE. I paid $10, but that was only because I couldn't listen to any of it before I bought it. Worth more than I paid. Highly recommend it.

No Mistaken It, He's My Child

Okay, so I've been trying to be more active in taking pictures of Hayden. I've slacked recently, so I went on a paparazzi rampage and took a lot of candid shots. Here is THE MOST CLASSIC picture of him. For all of you who know me, I stick my tongue out at the camera at least once each time (usually with food in my mouth). He is so my child and cracks me up. Oh yeah, and a picture of him in his car seat when we first brought him home and now. Look how he's grown! Enjoy.

I'm Good

I realized at lunch today that I'm good. I was telling a co-worker how this is the first job I've had where I didn't feel restless and want to jump ship. I love where we live and don't want to move some where grander, etc. I'm actually good with my life just the way it is. I'm blessed with two great men (Robert & Hayden), a good dog, great family and friends and I like it all. So, I am going to just enjoy the moment and enjoy being "good".

We ordered Hayden's Halloween costume today. He's going to be a pilot/Red Baron. It's so awesome, I'll post pictures soon. I hope everyone has a good weekend. I miss you all and hope to see everyone soon!

100 Miles An Hour & Standing Still

It was a good and productive weekend. However, I said it all when I told Robert, I feel like I'm going 100 miles an hour and standing still. We are constantly on the go, trying to crunch in errands and house work along with time for us and our family. I know we'll figure out what works and what doesn't soon.

I was thinking back to just a few months ago when Hayden would cry bloody murder and we would like at each other, frazzled, wondering what he wanted. Now, we're on a routine with bed time and knowing what he needs and wants. Each day I find something else out that he is supposed to do. Like be in bed by 8. He was going to bed when he wanted and I didn't know babies were supposed to sleep for an absurd 15 hours or something like that. I thought they slept more when they got older, not when they're this little. Since we've made him go to bed earlier, it's made it better for him and for us, who now can look at each other and say, "oh yeah, you, how are you?" Ha. Some people may know all of this instinctively or have someone let them know, but we're on our own here, figuring it out as we go.

Still haven't found time to get a costume for baby Hayden. I know we'll come up with something and looking forward to Halloween. What are you going to be, if anything?

Early Mornings

We're finally starting to fall into a routine with doing to daycare and work. I'm up around 5:00 AM, get Hayden's bag around and bottles for daycare, feed Kudzu, get in the shower. I get ready and wake Robert up. By 6:45, I wake Hayden up with a song (Good morning, good morning, good morning, baby Hayden). Change him and get him dressed. By 7:00 AM, we're saying our goodbyes to Robert and Kudzu and out the door. We arrive at daycare around 7:45am and I arrive at work about 8:00AM. I try to go and visit him at lunch and then leave work at 4:30, get him at daycare and back on the road by 5:00. We finally get home around 5:45, Hayden eats, I make dinner, feed Kudzu and wait for Robert to come home. Robert arrives around 7, we eat and clean up, Hayden's bath around 8:30 and then put Hayden to bed around 9:00PM. Hang out with Robert, iron clothes for the next day and hopefully in bed by 10:30PM. The next day the same thing. It's a long day for everyone and we very much look forward to the weekend. Hell, is exhausts me just re-reading it.

Hayden typically sleeps on the way in to daycare. I have time to wake up (by chugging my morning Mt. Dew). One thing I do like about getting on the road so early is each day we drive East to daycare and work. I have to go over two pretty large bridges, which go over two rivers here in Charleston. Each morning and I come up over the first bridge, I am greeted by the sun rising. Every day it is a different sunrise and I'm amazed by it. The other day it was such a warm reddish glow that was bright, but it lingered behind some clouds over the ocean. Today, it painted a pink and blue glow over the wispy clouds over the river. There were larger clouds over the ocean and I am amazed by Gods work. I wonder if I'm one of the few ones who notices it, or if they're all too busy cutting in and out of traffic to get to their destination. I hope some day Hayden learns to look around and notice the beauty in each day. I love where we live, I love the water and the weather. I love seeing the sunrise softly shine in Hayden's beautiful face in the back seat.

I hope everyone has a great weekend. I'll post recent pictures hopefully this weekend.

First Full Week Done

Well, thankfully, it's Friday. It has been our first full week of work and daycare and everyone made it through just fine. I miss Hayden, but it's nice because I have been stopping by there each day at lunch. I just hold him and rock with him and kiss him. It gets me through my day and gives me something to look forward do. Obviously, my posts have been becoming less and less these days, but I hope to get in to a routine soon enough where I can post more.

Hayden is now three months old and growing so fast. He went to the Doctor last week and is 26 inches long! Keep in mind just three months ago when he was born he was 20.5 inches. I couldn't be more excited that he's so tall. As a result, he's only three months, but looks like a 6 month old! It cracks me up. Robert is doing fine and trying to adjust to me getting up at 5am and out the door by 7 to get home at 6 and in bed by 10. It's been a crazy week, but it will only get better.

I hope you all have a great weekend. Drink a beer for me and think of me. I'll be the person laying on the couch trying to recuperate from the week just to do it all over again.

What a Week!

TGIF people! I would have written sooner, but this week has been interesting. My return to work was delayed due to Hayden getting the flu on Sunday, which resulted in a 6 hour trip to the ER. Then a trip to the Doctor on Monday to check up on him. Then Monday night I came down with it and spend the night next to the toliet. I finally got to work for two days. Robert now has it and is home sick as a dog. We took a half day from work because Hayden gets his first shots today. So, it's going to be a weekend of sickness and hopefully recover. F**k the flu. It sucks! Take your vitamens and don't get this mess.
